Cordia Resources is currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Contracts Specialist to join our client, a leading organization in the professional services industry. This contract-to-hire position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of a renowned company, known for its commitment to innovation and excellence. Located in Arlington, VA, this hybrid role allows for a combination of remote and in-office work, offering flexibility and work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, analyze, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, consulting agreements, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, regulations, and policies, mitigating risks and maximizing outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including legal counsel, finance, and project management teams, to ensure seamless contract execution and administration.
  • Conduct contract research and analysis, keeping abreast of industry standards and best practices.
  • Facilitate contract amendments, extensions, and terminations as necessary, while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Proactively identify potential contract issues and propose appropriate resolutions, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of contract management processes and procedures, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, legal studies, or a related field. Relevant certifications or equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Proven experience in contract administration, preferably in a professional services or government contracting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to review and understand complex contractual documents.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with federal government contracting regulations, such as FAR and DFARS, is a plus.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated Contracts Specialist seeking a challenging and dynamic role with a highly respected organization. The hourly rate for this contract position is between $45 and $55, commensurate with experience.
