Glass Road Family Dentistry seeks an experienced, energetic Registered Dental Assistant for our practice!
Ourpractice is an energetic, patient-centric dental practice focused on improving the dental health of our patients. Our Dental Assistants are responsible for assisting the dentist and hygienists. Our Dental Assistants are an integral part of our patient-care team and overall customer experience.
Our ideal candidate is reliable, highly skilled, and customer-service orientated. They should have 2 years’ experience in a dental assisting role with demonstrated growth in their education / job responsibilities.
Duties of the position include:
  • Provide assistance to the Dentists during procedures including preparation and documentation
  • Assist with clinical procedures such as: composite fillings, crowns and bridges on cerec, Root canals, extractions and Implant procedures as well as removing surgical sutures and more
  • Educate patients on their treatment plans as well as maintaining their oral health
  • Take digital X-Rays
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and safety requirements
  • Perform proper operation and maintenance of dental equipment
  • Prepare patients for treatment
  • Hand instruments and materials to dentists and keep patients' mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices
  • Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, replenishing as needed
  • Be able to take full mouth impressions
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
  • Obtain dental history and/or records from patient and ensure that the health history is updated for all returning patients and consent forms are signed prior to procedure
  • Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care
  • Record patient charting and all doctor notes as directed by the doctor
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • CPR certification
  • X-ray certification

  • Enhanced patient screenings prior to each appointment to ensure they do not have any signs or symptoms of illness or exposure to someone who has potentially been exposed to COVID-19, with additional in-office screening prior to the start of each appointment;
  • Updated protocols regarding the use of personal protective equipment for you and the team;
  • Heightened infection control protocols with comprehensive disinfection and sterilization procedures conducted pre-opening, between patients, and post-closing each day;
  • Changes in check-in, waiting room, and check-out procedures to enhance social distancing and decrease risk of contact with others.
