Wage Rate: $23 - $28 an hour. The position is based in Wailea, HI. Some travel to the westside of Maui will be required on occasion.

The HR Coordinator is a vital part of the HR team providing support and assistance to all team members. The right candidate will show care and concern for our team members (malama) and live our company value of Service from the Heart.

The position will be responsible for managing the hiring process of our four Maui locations. This includes updating job descriptions, posting, and advertising of open positions, reviewing, and forwarding resumes to hiring managers, screening of candidates, making offers of employment, and onboarding of new hires.

The Human Resources Coordinator will assist in daily HR functions in a busy office. This will include maintaining team member electronic files, tracking and monitoring expiration of team member required certifications, and assisting in payroll functions as needed. In addition, the HR Coordinator will assist with Workers Compensation, TDI and unemployment claims, as well as requests for leave. The HR Coordinator will be involved in team member events and recognition.

Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Prefer at least one year of Human Resources experience.
• Previous recruitment experience is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and organizational skills are needed to be successful in this role.
• Strong computer skills are a must.
