Copyright Clearance Center is Hiring a Publisher Sales Associate Near Portsmouth, NH

The Publisher Sales/Inventory Associate will utilize their strong interpersonal and communication skills to address a wide variety of inquiries and opportunities across rightsholders and internal business partners. The position will interact externally with multiple levels within the specified Rightsholder organizations to drive or enhance client service enrollment. The position will also interact internally with an extensive range of colleagues as a rightsholder-facing expert and internal business partner for issue resolution and rightsholder communications.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally with a wide variety of colleagues from across the CCC enterprise, including Customer Service, CCC Product teams, the ICS and Corporate Business Units, New Sales, and Marketing. You must possess superior problem-solving, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills to drive new service adoption, resolve questions and problems quickly and professionally, and help bridge gaps between departments internally.

Location & hours: The hired candidate may be hybrid in our Danvers, MA office, work remotely residing in the Eastern time zone, or living elsewhere in the US willing to work Eastern time zone hours.


What you will be doing:

  • Primarily, own the end-to-end enrollment process for new business and/or upsells for identified services in the rightsholder market, specifically for AI-related opportunities
  • Manage communications with and resolve problems for publishers not managed by the Key or Strategic accounts team but which require more support than Customer Service is able to provide
  • Act as a first point of contact for internal business partners requesting assistance from Rightsholder Relations for individual customer issues, manual processing, limited special projects, and more
  • Act as the voice of the rightsholder for non-managed accounts in collaboration with Customer Service
  • Represent CCC externally with the publishing industry by attending relevant industry tradeshows and customer meetings and participating on industry working groups and committees


What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-3 years of professional work experience required, including internship experience
  • Basic understanding of publishing industry preferred
  • Sales and opportunity management skills preferred
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and timeliness in decision making and communications
  • Self-confident, highly personable, reliable, self-directed, and well organized with excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and persuasion skills
  • Ability to coordinate decision-making processes with internal stakeholders, lead negotiations, and overcome objections
  • A high level of attention to detail and follow through along with the ability to work under tight pressure and multitask on a regular basis
  • Must be able to travel occasionally and independently and be able to represent the company externally

Base compensation range:
$45,000 to $55,000
The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, licensure, certifications, related experience and other related factors.
