Position Overview:

As an Office Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our office. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting processes. Additionally, you will work closely with senior management to develop and implement strategies to optimize financial performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting platforms is a must. Employee is required to work in the office.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax filings
• This is an in-office position, and we require the selected candidate to work from our Banner Elk office on a full-time basis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus
• 3 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance roles, with 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working in [industry/sector] is a plus

Pay: $29.50 - $35.30 per hour
