Job Title:Building Maintenance Supervisor

Job Status: Year Round Full Time

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $2,276.92 to $2,500.00 biweekly amount, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, who works in the Building Services Department, provides outstanding maintenance services for Copper Mountain owned and managed properties. The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading, developing, and managing the Mechanical Maintenance team to meet Company, Department, and Owner requirements through proper delivery of maintenance services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In coordination with Building Services Dispatch and other resort departments, especially Food & Beverage, to maintain all Copper Mountain mechanical maintenance (HVAC/R, plumbing, commercial kitchen equipment, water distribution and testing and any other commercial related systems).
  • Manage the Resort's planned mechanical maintenance programs to achieve peak system performance and longevity.
  • Managing up to 10 Mechanical employees' training, development, counseling, and scheduling to meet established resort needs, employee advancement, and company goals.
  • Prioritizing and coordinating contractor repairs.
  • Provide response to after-hours emergencies.
  • Coordinating the Mechanical Maintenance staff to effectively respond to all service calls, including after-hours response.
  • Keep team fully apprised of planned work and ready for unscheduled maintenance requirements.

Administration Duties:

  • Oversee parts ordering and job bidding.
  • Operating in the assigned work order/accounting system provided to control job reporting and cost billing.
  • Scheduling
  • Payroll audit & sign off
  • Assists in capital planning
  • Assists with annual budgets and reforecasting
  • Semi & annual performance appraisals
  • Team meetings
  • 1-1 Meetings
  • Purchasing card reconciliation
  • Creation of SOP's
  • Staff safety training

Guest Service Duties:

  • Working directly with association managers and association boards, homeowners, other resort departments and managers, and emergency services & repairs.

  • All Leadership team members are expected to participate in the company's Front Line Assist program to assist in operations as needed, as well as to participate in Leadership events such as meetings, required trainings, and participating in employee dinners/events.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Direct supervision of the Mechanical Maintenance Technicians assigned (Up to 10):

  • Staff hiring, training, development, counseling, and evaluation to meet established Resort needs, employee advancement, and company goals.
  • Supervision and coordination of the annual planned maintenance schedule.
  • Ensuring quality service and products delivery.
  • Development and delivery of Mechanical Maintenance staff performance appraisals.

Requirements:

Basic Requirements:

  • Color and night vision
  • Sitting up to 50%
  • Standing up to 75%
  • Crawling up to 10%
  • Working in inclement weather up to 25%
  • Working in mechanical room environments, closets, attics, etc.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after position is accepted. This background check will be done in accordance with standards enacted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
  • Valid US Driver's license

Preferred Experience and Special Skills:

  • College degree preferred
  • HVAC degree/certification preferred
  • Resort maintenance experience preferred
  • Four years of commercial building systems (HVAC, plumbing or electrical) or equivalent mechanical maintenance experience required.
  • Three years of proven supervisory experience in a maintenance environment.
  • At ease working with computer accounting and programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay with a job/company for more than two years.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience required.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required.
  • Established trade skills in mechanical systems (HVAC/R, F&B appliances, plumbing, water treatment, contracting, coordination with county authorities, personnel training, and development, etc.) required.
