JOB STATUS: POOL POSTING DATE: 02/26/2024 CLOSING DATE: 08/05/2024 05:00 PM POSTING NUMBER: 00002419 LOCATION: Districtwide POSITION TITLE: 24-25 Campus Aide PAY SCHEDULE / GRADE: NonExempt/Pay Grade - Elementary 201 Middle School 202 HOURS PER DAY: 8 PRIMARY PURPOSE: Under close supervision provide instructional support, clerical assistance, and all other duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the campus. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED
48 hours of College credit or Associates Degree or higher preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work with all children
Ability to follow detailed verbal and written directives
Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills
Ability to use personal computer and software
EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with school aged children preferred
Secretarial experience preferred
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Learner Management
Assist learners according to their needs.
Help manage the behavior of the learners.
Assume the responsibility for learning and adapting to each learner’s needs.
Work with individual learners or small groups to develop skills and conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher.
Help supervise learners throughout the school day inside and outside the classroom, including lunchroom, playground, library, gym(s), and safe movement throughout the building.
Supervise students assigned to in-school suspension (ISS) for disciplinary reasons maintaining a highly structured and orderly environment.
Clerical
Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
Greet and direct campus visitors.
Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes.
Assist parents in checking students in and out of school.
Assist with the receipt and distribution of student materials, including homework requests.
Receive, sort, and distribute mail, messages, documents, and other deliveries.
Provide clerical assistance as needed including assisting with scheduling of appointments.
Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
Assist in checking in and completing purchase orders.
Other
Maintain confidentiality.
Assist in other departments on campus as needed.
Participate in staff development programs, faculty meetings, and special events as assigned.
Redirect parent queries to educator and/or administrator.
All other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities None WORKING_CONDITIONS: Equipment Used Digital technology – including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Apps, printer, copier, learner specific equipment for communication and/or physical needs. Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent creative problem solving with other members of the staff. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom or adaptive equipment. START DATE: 08/05/2024
