COPC Brand is Hiring a Physical Therapist Team Lead Near Westerville, OH

Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians is seeking a Physical Therapist Team Lead for our Physical Therapy Department. The Physical Therapist Team Lead assists the Physical Therapy Manager with leading and training PTs and PT Assistants. The Lead serves as the main point of contact for troubleshooting and complex issues. This position directs staff and other assigned professionals while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory and organizational standards. 80% of job duties are patient care, the remaining 20% are administrative. This position is full-time working first shift hours.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess physical therapy patient condition by interpreting physical therapy evaluations and test results. Determine physical therapy treatment goals and plan in consultation with Physicians.
  • Determine course of action and treatment goals/plans in consultation with Physicians and team. Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans to reevaluate throughout treatment plan.
  • Assign work to Physical Therapist Assistants and monitor workflows.
  • Train and onboard new employees. Provide current staff with ongoing training as needed. 
  • Assist Physical Therapy Manager with disciplinary actions, performance reviews and performance management.
  • Manage payroll for Physical Therapist Assistants, including PTO requests.
  • Assist with employee scheduling and assign workload to team. Cover planned and unplanned team absences.
  • Monitor troubleshooting of day to day problems (examples: bedbugs, building management issues, equipment problems, etc.).
  • Act as backup when Manager is out of the office.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education, Licensures & Certifications 

  • Required: Physical Therapy Licensure
  • Required: 4 years of Physical Therapy experience

B. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of patient rights and laws including HIPAA
  • Strong knowledge of procedures and equipment
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to lead by example 
  • Ability to work on a team and promote a team environment 
  • Ability to function independently and manage time/work tasks
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and efficiency 
  • Ability to problem solve and adjust treatment plans when needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
