FULL-TIME Exempt: 40 hours

Coordinated Care Services Inc (CCSI) seeks a talented Accounting Manager to contribute their expertise in providing essential business services to our provider organizations and customers. The Accounting Manager drives continuous improvement in internal accounting operations and reporting. Responsibilities include supporting timely month and year-end close processes, collaborating on financial statements with the Controller, and managing GL year-end audit schedules. The role oversees account reconciliations, journal entries, and supports auditors during annual and single audit processes. The Accounting Manager supervises and mentors the team, contributing to staff development and training, demonstrating strong project management skills for audit readiness, and ensuring financial security through internal controls. Additionally, the Accounting Manager produces accurate general ledger, budgeting, and financial reports, emphasizing commitment to confidentiality and effective collaboration.

In this role, you will be 

  • Supporting the accounting team with timely month and year-end close processes.
  • Directly supporting the Controller in the completion of timely and accurate quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Managing completion of GL year-end audit schedules, including accounts payable/receivable aging reports, and generating schedules to support trial balance. Work with other administrative team members for completion of other year-end audit schedules. 
  • Providing support to auditors throughout annual and single audit processes. Provide project management support to internal teams to ensure readiness for audits.
  • Managing timely and accurate account reconciliations and adjusting journal entries for balance sheet accounts, coordinating with other staff as necessary. Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Supporting Accountant I with cash receipts, general ledger expense transactions, and monthly recording and reconciliation of prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and other liabilities in the accounting system.
  • Performing a variety of general accounting operational tasks including but not limited to approving/transmitting ACH files to the bank, reviewing aging reports, reviewing deposits, approving payment batches, etc.
  • Managing, with the support of Accountant I, fixed assets tracking process including timely and accurate fixed asset inventory and depreciation schedules, disposal review process, and recording expense monthly.
  • Supporting corporate budgeting process through budget input, report development, and monitoring of progress. 
  • Maintaining financial security by following, developing, and documenting internal controls.
  • Producing and developing regular general ledger, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Identifying and researching accounting issues, developing resolutions, and executing solutions within the Accounting team and cross-departmentally. 
  • Effectively manage schedule and deadlines while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. Respond to requests, both internally and externally, with an appropriate level of discretion and immediacy while upholding business goals.
  • Developing effective working relationships with employees across the organization. 
  • Maintaining customer confidence and protecting operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Supervising Accounting staff including, but not limited to Accountant I and Accounts Payable Specialist.
  • Assisting with the developing, training, and mentoring of staff. 
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 5 years of experience, or related experience, or equivalent education and work experience (see CCSI's equivalency chart).
  • Experience with Dynamics GP accounting system preferred. 
  • Experience in multi-system environments preferred. 
  • Experience in a not-for-profit environment preferred.
