POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Plant Manager supports the Plant Manager in the day-to-day operations of the fabrication shop. This includes management and coordination of daily activities to safely ensure high performance and production at all times.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent
3-5 years prior experience in a related field
OTHER SKILLS
Strong functional and technical skills; ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals; good judgment; strong attention to detail; ability to work effectively with others. While performing certain duties of the job, the employee is required to stand, stoop, bend, twist, lift, pull, and reach. Use of hands for gripping and grasping required. Specific vision abilities are required. Lifting is required up to 75 lbs. Must be flexible in hours worked and willing to work overtime.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position performs work mostly in the Shop setting which includes a variety of working conditions. These include the following conditions: noise level fluctuations from moderate to high, use of personal protective equipment, machine/equipment use. Position involves everyday risks or exposure to elements that require safety precautions. Position will be required to work in adverse weather conditions such as heat, humidity, cold, precipitation, etc.
