Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Kitchen Generalist to join our team! In this role, you will install, service, and repair commercial kitchen appliances and machines. You must have experience in a commercial kitchen repair technician generalist role. You must also be a team player who is also comfortable working independently.
Qualifications/Skill Requirements:

• 2 years of technical experience with refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC
• Possess a valid Driver’s License / Possess a clean driving history
• High school or equivalent (required)
• Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to identify complex problems promptly.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively with clients in a professional manner.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team while adhering to deadlines.
• Must be able to work in a kitchen environment knowing when to work on equipment and how to communicate with stores to ensure we don’t interfere with operations
• Must be able to use smartphones and tablets effectively
• Must be able to track time and follow directions remotely
• Must be able to run day-to-day operations with little input from the office
• Must be able to troubleshoot three-phase equipment and have a basic understanding of refrigeration.
• Must have the verbal skills to communicate over the phone and to communicate at a high level not only with technicians but with clients

Responsibilities:

• As a Field Service Technician, you will be required to travel to client locations, install new equipment, respond to service requests, troubleshoot equipment issues, and provide technical training on company equipment
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on commercial food service equipment including, but not limited to, refrigeration equipment, cooking equipment, beverage equipment, and dish machines
• Must at minimum be capable of service on commercial kitchen equipment, HVAC equipment, and refrigeration
• Lift, carry, pull, and push components and/or equipment to test, setup, or maintain equipment
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Install all parts ordered for the customer in a timely and professional manner and in line with company policy
• Maintain a neat and orderly service vehicle, along with accurate parts and tool inventory
