Description

Part-time. Cooper Wellness Strategies is currently seeking a Bookkeeper who will be responsible for maintaining daily financial records including purchases, sales, receipts and payments for our client in Franklin, LA. The bookkeeper will work closely with the General Manager and necessary personnel to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements, compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices.

Monday-Friday, 25-29 hours per week

Bookkeeper Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Data entry, records maintenance and reporting while protecting sensitive financial data
• Account reconciliations
• Create and manage customer invoices and payments
• Communication with staff when customer accounts are past due
• Manage accounts payable/receivable
• Create daily, monthly, annual financial reports
• Track payroll data and reconcile payments
• Assist with member management software implementation, member training, and billing
• Fast-check accounting data
• Assist with employee onboarding process
• Performs duties with consistent, regular, and reliable attendance
• Maintains a positive attitude and adheres to Cooper purpose and core values
• Complies with all Cooper and client policies
• Accomplishes other duties as assigned

Requirements

The successful Bookkeeper candidate will have the following:

• High school degree required/ College degree preferred
• 2-3 years relevant experience position
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Proven ability to provide quality customer service
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
• Ability to focus, perform detail oriented functions, and manage multiple tasks
• Knowledge if HIPAA and OSHA policies and procedures preferred or completed training within 30 days
• Prior experience working with collections/accounting software preferred
