Cook Medical is Hiring a Food Services Associate Near Vandergrift, PA
Responsibilities
- Develop menus for meals with nutrition and pricing a priority
- Prepare and place orders to vendors for necessary food and supplies
- Prepare and serve food for morning break and lunch times
- Keep work areas clean as per Department of Agriculture Regulations
- Operate various equipment/machines in cafeteria
- Stock shelves, refrigerators, freezers with supplies
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment/machinery in cafeteria
- Document freezer and refrigerator temperatures according to Department of Agriculture Standards
- Count and document cash register receipts
- Assist in determining inventory/supply levels
- Complete necessary documentation
- Perform various computer functions
- Provide input to supervisor/manager to improve department operation and efficiency
- Identify and report possible preventative and correction actions
- Works independently and as a team member, referring questions to department supervisor and/or manager
- Responsible for cash drawer
- Responsible for knowing costs and keeping within the budget allowed for meals
- Responsible for compliance to company's safety policies
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must pass a post-offer physical exam and drug screen
- Good judgement and organizational skills
- Ability to perform basic math and accounting functions
- Ability to get along with other people internally and with vendors
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to occasionally lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Majority of time spent standing
- Majority of day spent in clean, climate controlled work area
