Convoy of Hope is Hiring a Program Quality Director Near Springfield, MO

Ministry Function: The Program Quality Director supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope (COH) by directing Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL), quality assessments, improvements, and assurance, and training initiatives. Program Quality Director will be accountable to the Senior Director – Program Quality and Administration for all facets of quality within Global Program both domestically and internationally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Direct and address all functions related to quality including MEL and training initiatives.
  2. Work collaboratively with Global Program leadership, Regional Leaders, Specialists and all other stakeholders to help develop, steer, track and evaluate the Global Program quality strategy.
  3. Drive quality optimization initiatives through the leadership and direction of quality assessments, improvements, and assurance.
  4. Knowledge Management —Research and manage the collection, curation, and dissemination of industry knowledge related to MEL for consultation with the Senior Director – Quality and Administration.
  5. Lead the development, delivery, and reporting of appropriate trainings for students, stakeholders, and volunteers in a manner that can lead to a formal degree and professional certifications.
  6. Lead the development and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Global Program and assign management of KPIs within Global Program as needed to optimize efficiency and performance.
  7. Facilitate strategic planning for GP by bringing working groups together and highlighting the critical gaps in process or planning.
  8. Drive collaborative solutions to systemic problems through transparent MEL and KPI management.
  9. Direct the facilitation of mentoring, ongoing academic and professional development of Global Program staff.
  10. Maintain up to date knowledge of MEL trends and studies in the humanitarian sector for potential application at COH.
  11. As member of the Global Program Working Group, supports other areas as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Post-graduate university degree (Master’s/Ph.D.) in relevant field preferred; Bachelor’s degree required.
  2. 5 years of related work experience required; experience in international development and/or quality control.
  3. Strong analytical skills; attention to detail and accuracy
  4. Experience in leading staff and providing general administrative oversight required.
  5. Excellent writing and communication skills in English.
  6. Knowledge of various technical sectors of development such as nutrition, food security, public health, WASH, micro-enterprise, and agriculture.
  7. Experience in effectively managing multiple priorities simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
  8. Ability and willingness to travel 25-35% of the time (domestic and international).
  9. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain tact in difficult situations.
  10. Advanced computer knowledge and experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  11. Serve as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
  12. Ability to positively represent the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
  13. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that each staff member embraces the organization's religious purposes for which it exists and not only agrees with its Statement of Faith but demonstrates it in their lives on an ongoing basis.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position may have direct supervisory responsibilities.
