Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Junior Back-End PHP Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of PHP development and a keen interest in growing their skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. This role requires a full-time, on-site presence in our New York City office.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining back-end systems for our translation software.
• Work closely with front-end developers and designers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Contribute to optimizing application performance and scalability.
• Support the implementation of security and data protection measures.
• Participate in code reviews and learn from senior developers to improve development processes.
• Help troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.

Requirements

• Some experience in PHP back-end development or relevant coursework.
• Familiarity with PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git) is preferred.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus.
