JOB DESCRIPTION:

This Part Time Driver Support role will provide support to Terminals and their drivers in the many challenges faced on the road today. There is responsibility in offering the highest level of service to maintain maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities:

· Support dispatch across the country doing loads changes for drivers due to lost or damaged vehicles with full communication to the terminals.

· Hotel card management - adjust cards for driver check-in for authorized stays.

· Comdata support – update mileage and/or provide override for drivers with fuel card issues.

· HOS - adjusting driver’s hours due to electronic log malfunction to maintain proper compliance.

· Handles call in support for after-hours collisions or truck breakdowns and communicate with Safety and Maintenance.

· Assist and communicate recruiting by taking a scripted question and answer conversation to ensure minimum qualifications for new drivers.

· Ensure accurate customer reporting by working in Customer database (VTIMS) updating any errors.

· Assist in sorting/filing paperwork for necessary document storage in the Houston terminal.

Qualifications:

· Required Education - High school diploma or equivalent

· Basic computer skills to be able to navigate Microsoft, industry software and supporting sites.

· Professional phone communication skills

· Bilingual preferred, not required

· Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record and relay significant information

· Interface with drivers to address problems and provide solutions.

· Organizational and time management skills.

· Flexibility to work nights and weekends
