Setting new standards for industrial process automation solutions in the metropolitan New York City tristate area, Control Associates, Inc. is a premier provider of process automation systems & software, valves, measurement solutions, pressure management, asset reliability and data management solutions. We are looking to hire a HVAC Account Manager, who will be basedout of our headquarters in Allendale, NJ.

Established in 1933, Control Associates along with its global process automation business partner, Emerson, specializes in supporting the process control equipment and service needs of the following industries: Life Sciences, Natural Gas Distribution & Transmission, HVAC, Power, Chemical, and Downstream Hydrocarbons.

Role: We are seeking an Account Manager for our HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) sales team to drive Control AssociatesÂ’ business growth. With help from an experienced team, he/she will navigate this fast-paced industry by delivering world-class products and services to both new and existing customers. Successful candidates enjoy networking, being creative and utilizing the concepts of solution selling daily. Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the external customer relationships selling our commercial HVAC products and services portfolio through a consultative approach
  • Develop and execute account plans to grow our portfolio within named accounts
  • Proactively network and build strong relationships with key client stakeholders, decision makers and influencers
  • Develop and execute pursuit strategies to win
  • Create and maintain sales forecasts and opportunity pipeline through use of CRM tool
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of all our products and services within our Commercial HVAC portfolio
  • Engage directly with clients through onsite visits within the NYC Tri-State area
  • Drive company, team, and individual goals

Prerequisites:

  • 2 years of experience in sales environment
  • BS/BA degree in a discipline that supports a technical knowledge of the business, an Engineering concentration is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with decision makers
  • Problem Solver, able to uncover the true root cause, and have an open-minded approach to create a solution
  • Strategic thinker with a propensity to connect technologies to business outcomes and to anticipate the emerging needs of customers
  • Results driven, a professional who has consistently exceeded goals.
  • Must have excellent communications, interpersonal, organization, and time management skills, this is a client facing role
  • Experience working in a team environment while providing individual contributions and leading through influence
  • Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite expertise with Advanced Excel and CRM experience required, any ERP experience highly preferred.

This is a direct placement position; third party contracts are not available.
