About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President and Chief Data Officer (CDO) to lead the Office of Data Analytics (ODA) within the University Finance and Administration division. The CDO will be responsible for developing and governing the collection, management, and storage of data across the division, as well as analyzing and deriving insights to inform business strategy and drive financial decisions. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in data, experience with a variety of analytics tools and platforms, and a passion for serving the public mission of higher education.This role requires a collaborative leader with a Bachelor's degree in a data-related discipline and a minimum of 8 years' of experience in data management, data analysis, and data strategy. A Master's or advanced degree in a related field and experience with GDPR are preferred qualifications for this role. The successful candidate will work closely with the Office of Information Technology and across all campuses within the university to understand and meet their data needs.The CDO will also be tasked with aligning data and analytics capabilities with the organization's mission, strategy, and objectives. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build strong relationships and lead a diverse team.
