The general laborer will be accountable to the Department Leader for satisfactory completion of the duties outlined below.

• Move or reposition materials using hoists, winches, loads and materials, manually or using equipment and machines such as trucks, cars, and hand trucks.
• Examine completed work pieces for defects such as chipped edges and marred surfaces, and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.
• Read work orders and production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, and dimensions and tolerances.
• Operate metal fabrication equipment.
• Assist other CSC employees while operating equipment or assembling completed conveyors.
• Adhere to quality control Standards.
• Follow company Ethics and Environmental Programs.
• Follow State and Federal Environmental Compliance Programs.
• Complete projects and perform other duties as assigned.

To be considered for the assembler position, candidates will possess the following qualifications.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Aptitude for mechanical and mathematical concepts and applications.
• Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 60 pounds.
• Capable of being on one’s feet for up to ten hours per shift.
• Ability to read and interpret documents related to metal fabrication like blue prints, bills of material, manufacturing specifications.
• Ability to present self in a competent manner through written, verbal and non-verbal communication.
• Ability to obtain a fork lift operator’s license.
• Ability to read and effectively use a tape measure.
• Ability to prioritize work assignments.
