WHAT YOU’LL DO

To support the Finance Leadership in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance/Accounting Department. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining month end workpapers/reconciliations, the preparation and recording of journal entries, periodic A/P and A/R entries, and state and local tax filings when applicable for the branch(es) they are assigned to. The staff accountant will work with branch managers to analyze and improve their understanding of financial statements.

• Manage, review, depreciate and reconcile the branch’s fixed assets, including entries for any sale or other disposal of assets in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
• Monthly reconciliation of inter-company due to/from accounts as well as intercompany A/P and A/R.
• Support Accounts Payable Associate with day-to-day tasks for the branch, including invoice entry, vendor reconciliations, payment processing, recordkeeping and any required accruals.
• Prepare and maintain, as necessary, schedules to support transactions and ledger balances.
• Actively participate in month end close process, including accruals, trial balance reviews and necessary adjusting journal entries as assigned by Corporate Controller.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in business or accounting or similar or equivalent experience
• 3 years of accounting experience
• Agricultural or Manufacturing accounting experience preferred

COMPENSATION

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. In Washington state, the target hiring range is between $55,000 to $65,000, depending on experience.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
