Continental Finance Company interns get real-life exposure to the daily duties of their prospected department. They spend the summer as a valued member of their respective team, learning business skills and assisting with a variety of projects that have an impact on the business operations. An additional focus of the program will be to complete a final project that will be an overview of activities, tasks and experiences throughout the 10-week program.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for execution of the multiple project/ tasks outlined by the mentor
• Complete reports and summary of projects fulfilled weekly
• Meet with a mentor daily to discuss projects, reports and questions
• Support the department and company by providing innovative ideas, solutions and an outside perspective
• Enhance website and online finance orientation program to improve accessibility and effectiveness and ensuring the program is aligned with company values, graphics are aligned with text and to utilize resources on the orientation to roll out those resources to the website.
• Conduct research on new CDL schools and initiate email and phone outreach to establish relationships for potential collaboration.
• Updating our school application and recommending an on-line tool to make it easier to fill out as well as enhance the look of our proposals using graphics and other tools.

This is a paid position for undergraduates and is located in Wilmington, Delaware.

***CFC offers a hybrid work schedule which includes three (3) core days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two (2) remote workdays (Monday and Friday)***

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Currently enrolled in and working towards an undergraduate degree in Marketing
  • Graphic design background and IT a plus
  • Experience with Canva is a plus
• Available to work 40 hours/week (hybrid) for 10-week summer assignment
• Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
• Strong attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Adept at navigating technology
• Proficient in multitasking
• Demonstrates strong telephone communication abilities
• Demonstrated skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications
• Strong customer service aptitude
• Ability to be resourceful in reviewing procedures and programs that currently exist to understand philosophy, approach to training and servicing of portfolio.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
