Position: Technician's Helper
Team Work:
· Follow instructions/directions from lead Technician
· Load truck with product pulls and special parts needed for the day.
· Assist technician throughout the day: carry supplies & tools, keep truck organized, make sure the Jobsite stays clean, and keep list of parts and chemicals used during the day.
· Pool Openings /Closings - Assist in the following: Remove covers, empty watertubes, lower cover anchors, skim & vac pool, store winter products, hose/bucket/blow deck, etc. Fill water tubes, raise cover anchors, put on the pool cover, skim and vac pool, store summer products, hose/bucket/blow deck, etc.
· Speed is important. Anticipate the technician’s needs, and take initiative to perform the next task.
· When the truck returns to shop: Throw trash in the dumpster, throw recyclables in proper containers, restock anything used off the truck (parts & chemicals), and make sure truck is ready to go out the next day. Assist technician with processing returns through Inventory Control Specialist.
Reliability:
· Work is performed outdoors in all types of weather. Come prepared to face all conditions.
· Consistent and dependable Attendance is a MUST
· Communication Skills:
· Ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members.
· Clearly follow directions given by lead Technician
· Customer Service:
· Provide friendly and accurate customer service. Exceeding customer expectations (pick-up/organize lawn furniture, rollup garden hoses, organize pool toys, etc.)
· Clean customers' yard after service has been provided – bring trash back to throw away.
· Always maintain a professional neat and clean appearance.
No cell phone allowed on customer property
Learning expectations:
· Assist in retrieving tools and supplies as directed by a technician
· Assist in performing basic pool openings & Assist in performing basic winterizations
· Assist in Equipment Installations
· Use Deck-vac and Power-vac System to clean pool
· Backwash/clean filter-Identify and Operate basic components of the filtration system
· Learn to Evaluate and rebuild filter grid assemblies & Perform grid and cartridge cleanings.
· Become fluent in water chemistry and chemical maintenance
· Be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
· Be able to work in a fast pace, fast-moving work environment
Valid Driver's License is Required with a clean driving record
Be able to Drive large work Van
Meet at main location then from main location job is performed at various customers' pools.
Current Work Schedule:
-Mon-Sat – April– June (7:30/45am-6/7pm)
-Mon-Fri - June- August, November (7:30/45am-4/5pm)
-Mon-Sat – Sept.– Oct. (7:30/45am-6/7pm)
-Temporary/seasonal work March through October/November
-Payday is every other Friday. Overtime is paid after 40 hours per week.
