Heavy Equipment Mechanic-Full Time

Ditch Witch of Central Texas, Inc. has immediate openings for heavy equipment mechanics in the San Antonio location.

We need a competent heavy equipment mechanic who can jump into a routine and work hard. *Experience with horizontal drills is a plus*

REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of heavy equipment systems
• Understanding of safe job practices for repairing equipment
• Read, understand, and interpret both hydraulic and electrical schematics
• Rebuilding hydraulic cylinders, motors and hydraulic valves
• Able to lift heavy parts to and from parts department and work station
• The right person will have their own tools- a variety to work on our equipment (we provide specialty tools)

JOB DESCRIPTION & WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Responsibilities include repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems on customer equipment as well as maintenance. This work will be both in our shop and on customer job sites. Responsibilities include but are not limited to service documentation, ordering parts through parts department, maintaining service trucks, maintaining our rental equipment and travelling to customer sites.
