Our mission at Contemporary Plastic Surgery is to provide superb aesthetic services to our patients. Medical Director, Dr. Robert Herbstman, is an experienced, board certified expert in cosmetic surgery of the face and body. We have a dedicated, highly trained team including a nurse practioner, skin care specialist/medical aesthetician, and medical assistant who perform comprehensive non-surgical services for facial enhancement and rejuvenation. Our goal is to always deliver an experience that is both exciting and rewarding for our patients in a safe, caring environment. We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic individual who shares our passion for welcoming our clientele into the world of beauty, aesthetics and enjoys assisting patients in realizing their self improvement goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant carries out clinical duties and patient support in coordination with the practice Providers. This is a full-time position with great visibility as the candidate will be interact directly with patients. Clinical duties include:

• Rooming patients.
• Communicate key information clearly with patients, surgical centers, hospitals and other stakeholders.
• Obtain vitals, medical history, and other relevant clinical information.
• Maintain the patient’s digital chart including scanning and organizing digital information.
• Maintain clinical supplies and cleanliness of treatment areas.
• Assist Surgeon and Providers with consultations and treatment.
• Sterilization of instruments.
• Managing patient flow through the practice.

Key Skills/Qualifications

• Proficient in Word, Excel, email programs, and electronic medical records.
• Ability to communicate effectively by written and spoken work to patients and employees.
• Experience in a Cosmetic Surgery practice, Med Spa or hospitality industry a plus.
• Medical Assistant Certification by nationally accredited agency, associates/bachelors a plus or equivalent experience in a cosmetic/med spa setting.

• Full time hourly position, salary is commensurate with experience.
