Job Summary

Consultative Examination Services, Inc. (CES), is a medical services company serving the disability and insurance industry. We have a network of doctors who evaluate patients through CES, Inc. CES has contracts with insurance companies, retirement agencies, federal programs and state programs.

The specialties working in clinic include physical medicine & rehab, psychology and speech and language pathology. We may add other specialties in the future. You can expect to work with one or two doctors maximum at one time.

CES is seeking a bilingual Medical Assistant (diploma required) to perform front- and back-office tasks in an office. Must be certified to do blood draws. As a part-time Medical Assistant, the schedules are variable. You must be able to work weekdays and Saturdays (not Sundays).

Responsibilities and Duties

As a part-time medical assistant, you are responsible for:

• Showing up on time, every time
• Check patients in and out
• Speak and communicate in English and Spanish
• Serve as interpreter between doctor and patient
• Assist patients in completing history forms
• Perform vital signs
• Chaperone exams as necessary
• Copy /Scan/ Fax documents
• Answer phones (light)
• Do housekeeping of clinic as necessary throughout the day

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate is:

• A Medical Assistant - can produce certificate/diploma from an accredited school (no need to be CMA)
• Bilingual - Understands and communicates in English and Spanish - Can interpret common language as well as symptoms and body parts in both languages
• Flexible - Scheduling changes from month to month. Referral patterns and doctor availability changes and Medical Assistant must be available when scheduled to work. Schedules are usually given up to a month in advance, but CONFIRMED about one week to ten days in advance, as doctors may give dates and not book, which causes a cancellation OR referrals increase, causing addition of schedules.
