CONSOR Engineers is Hiring a Construction Inspector I Near Denver, CO

The Opportunity

Consor is currently looking for a Construction Inspector I for our Denver office. In this entry level construction inspector role you will contribute to delivering general civil, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), smart city, connected vehicle, electric vehicle infrastructure (EV), mobility hub, bus rapid transit (BRT) and fiber communications projects. Candidate must be a highly motivated, eager to learn, enjoy working outdoors and open to traveling statewide. If you have some experience with civil and/or ITS construction, exhibit good communications skills, enjoy a healthy team environment, and are interested in the implementation of technology in transportation, you may be the perfect fit for this position! Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitoring construction activities and performing daily site inspection
  • Reviewing material quantities, pay applications and submittals
  • Checking for conformance to project requirements and design plans
  • Coordinating project activities and reviewing schedules
  • Preparing project documentation
  • Maintaining communications with the client and contractor
  • Following our quality control process to ensure high caliber work products
  • Flexible schedule, as work hours often vary between day and night shifts

Required Credentials

  • Experience in transportation construction projects and/or new technology deployment projects is preferred
  • Background in electrical, electronics, fiber optics, communications or intelligent transportation system technologies is preferred
  • General civil construction experience is preferred
  • Effective communication skills; both oral and written for team collaboration and interpersonal relationships developed with employees and clients
  • Excellent ability to solve problems
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills
  • A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment supporting our client’s overall project goals
  • Time management and the ability to multitask and prioritize competing project obligations
  • Ability to work with others and capacity to learn new skills
  • Ability to travel overnight throughout Colorado
