What You'll Do

  • Assists in auditing current policies, procedures, practices, forms, reports and records; reviews and analyzes work flow and performance; distributes and maintains records; and documents specific action taken.
  • Assists in coordinating administrative functions and activities for division/department and may act as liaison to administrative divisions within the Plant.
  • Assists in the preparation of manuals, internal operating procedures and standards for publication covering the administration of area of responsibility.
  • Collaborates with other operating and service departments to develop effective programs and procedures for supporting Plant activities.
  • Continuously researches new systems and disseminates information to improve operations.
  • Coordinates with members of qualified Configuration Management teams to assure assigned mission responsibilities, safety evaluations and required reviews and approvals are conducted in a timely manner while meeting requirements.
  • Formulates and implements new or improved programs and procedures to ensure efficient and effective process control and reporting.
  • Independently analyzes and assesses Configuration Management requirements, processes and procedures with the intent of early recognition of process weaknesses.
  • Leads selected special projects that require cross-functional engagement with key staff across the organization, and with external stakeholders, as appropriate.
  • Maintains project files and supporting project personnel with document searches.
  • May develop, coordinate, and implement training systems for the department.
  • Performs rigorous Configuration Management reviews and assessments of technical baseline documents (Nuclear and Non-Nuclear structures, systems, and components under Configuration Management control).
  • Represents the business unit to define requirements and business cases for database and workflow technology developments.
  • Researches and applies new requirements represented in DOE Rules, Orders and Standards, Industry Codes, Quality Assurance (NQA-1) and Integrated Safety Management (ISM).
  • Reviews and analyzes applicable documentation, to include legal contracts and sub-contracts, involving administrative functions including procurement, legal, budget and other areas.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Or 8 or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Department of Energy (DOE) related work experience.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
