What You'll Do

  • Support Quality to implement changes to the achievement of goals and continuous improvement initiatives via the Tier Escalation process.
  • Manage implementation plan(s) to include making periodic updates.
  • Analyze requests for changes to the implementation plans, evaluate risk factors for implementing proposed changes, and work with an integrated project team to identify proposed changes.
  • Reviewing status and preparing weekly and monthly reports/briefs.
  • Interact with a wide range of personnel at the technical, professional, managerial and executive level as well as NNSA and DOE customers.
  • Facilitate the ACB input and staffing plan.
  • Obtain qualification and assist Quality as a Qualified Causal Analysis Specialist (QCAS).
  • Conduct Assessments and serve as the Assessment Coordinator for Quality.
  • Generating and distributing Learning From Incidents (LFIs).
  • Serve as the Space Representative for Quality.
  • Reviews and updates Record’s Management Systems relative to flow-down as required.
  • Risk Management point of contact for Quality.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • OR Master’s degree.
  • OR 8 or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Possess strong presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate up and down the organization
  • Must have the ability to exercise initiative, develop, and report planned cost and scheduled work; and develop a plan for recovery in order to successfully achieve overall objectives.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance, 10CFR830, Quality Assurance Role DOE Order 414.1D, and NAP 401.1A, Weapons Quality Policy.
  • Experience in project management is preferred.
  • Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in technical writing and data analysis.
  • The position requires the ability to clearly and effectively communicate through oral and written word, interpret requirements and generate written reports for both internal as well as external customers.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
