Position Summary:

The Fleet Process Manager will be responsible for coordinating and identifying chassis for “refurb” program operating in its South Atlantic Consolidated Chassis Pool (SACP). This is an SACP role, domiciled in Savannah, GA. Fleet Process Manager will support SACP Logistics, collaborating with Field Operations, Fleet Administration, HQ Staff, Commercial and Finance teams by providing timely and accurate reports and information specific to the Refurb program. This position reports to the Pool Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Identify chassis available for refurb in the South Atlantic Consolidated Chassis Pool (SACP)
• Identify chassis in the South Atlantic Consolidated Chassis Pool (SACP) that are not eligible for the refurb program
• Coordinate logistics (e.g. stacking/unstacking, logistics, gate out, gate in, repositioning) as needed
• Monitor all gate activity for the identified refurb chassis to ensure chassis are picked up and decooped timely
• Create and maintain a refurb data base
• Work closely and communicate with the SACP M&R Staff on refurb completions and summarize Post Inspection findings
• Coordinate a notification process on all Chassis Induction Reports (CIR) from the refurb vendor to CCM Fleet and GIER Team
• Create, maintain and distribute a weekly refurb completion report to all identified parties
• Maintain strong and productive relations with SACP Depots and Refurb Vendors

Requirements:

• Associates degree or equivalent experience
• Related experience with leasing companies, motor carriers or other intermodal partners
• Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and oral
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Prior working experience in Intermodal/Shipping is preferred
• Superb administrative skills, to include document administration and file maintenance
• Critical thinking skills, attention to detail and must be a self-starter
