Our client, a 100 bed hospital located about 45 mins from Raleigh, NC, has a need for a Director of Emergency Services to join their team.
Position Summary:
The ED Director will organize, direct, and supervise the functions of clinical and/or procedural units our 14 bed ED. An ED Director will ensure policy and procedures are followed; safe staffing levels are maintained; supplies and equipment are at sufficient levels; and efficient patient throughput is managed. This position will also develop, implement, and manage the department budget and engage in ongoing quality and performance improvement, invests in lifelong learning for staff professional development and assures employees complete required annual competencies.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree is required
Master's degree is preferred
Required License:
Registered Nurse in North Carolina or Compact state is required
Required Certification:
BLS is required
ACLS is required
Required Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years as charge nurse or supervisor in ED
Prior experience working in an acute care setting
Experience in a small community hospital preferred
