MINIMUM 6 MONTHS EXPERIENCE IN MACHINE OPERATING IN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT 

Connect Staffing is seeking a detailed casting operator for a reputable vinyl manufacturer in Placentia, CA. 

Schedule: Monday- Friday 2 PM- 10:30 PM Must be flexible and have weekend availability 

Requirements of the Casting Operator:

• 6 months of prior experience in machine operation, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of extrusion or casting processes
• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Must pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to safely lift 50lbs
• Must have steel-toe boots
• Able to tolerate strong smells created by the industrial process
• Ability to comply with grooming standards, including no facial hair
•  Prior experience in roles such as Film Production Operator, Quality Control Inspector, and Machine Operator is a plus!

Responsibilities of the Casting Operator:

• Operate casting machines to produce vinyl films according to production schedules and specifications
• Clean and set up wet-end equipment (coating head, pump, and filters) as needed and monitor and make process/equipment
• Identify coating defects and take corrective action to eliminate the defect
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
• Set up mixers, pump, tote, hose, liner, and adhesive according to work order requirements
• Handling Hazardous Waste and procedures
• Be mindful of sensitivity to odors in the surrounding environment
