*We are seeking a candidate for the UPCOMING 24-25 School Year.*

Job Requirements:

• Create and submit weekly lesson plans that align to the scope and sequence.
• The overall safety of the class
• Collaborate with classroom teachers
• Maintain leadership of classroom
• Supervise children at all times
• Foster positive relations with all children and staff
• Facilitate activities according to created lessons for your appropriate age group
• Ensure all supplies are available and ready in advance for day’s lessons
• Complying with all DCF guidelines
• Maintain a clean classroom
• Update bulletin boards in hall and classroom frequently
• Other duties as needed.

Position Requirements:

• Background in in music, early childhood or musical theater
• Should teach children about the fundamentals of music, while exposing them to a variety of music from around the world as well as teaching child appropriate songs.
• Should also make sure that music classes are interactive, engaging and age appropriate to create a love for music.
• Best to incorporate musical instruments or props for children to play and plenty of music and movement activities (this can include yoga, scarf dancing, teaching dances etc).
• Knowledge and ability to work with young children ages 12 weeks- 5 years in small and large group settings.
• Large group settings include: Fridays, helping to lead Shabbat, assisting with music components of family programming
• A cooperative manner and the ability to serve as part of a diverse team.
• Bonus: able to play a musical instrument, eg. Piano, guitar etc.
• Warm, bubbly, energetic and confident personality

Qualifications

• Must successfully pass a fingerprint criminal history background check.
• DCF 45 hours or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment
• Regular and reliable attendance and dependability.
• Experience with children aged Infants-5 years.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Creativity to develop lessons, events, and community engagement opportunities.
• Ability to work independently, be flexible, and be self-directed
• Growth mindset - be constantly learning and looking to improve, and willing to accept feedback.
• Commit for at least a year

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
