About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Health Information Management Services. This executive will be responsible for leading the Health Information Management Services and Coding Department, ensuring the management and maintenance of all patient medical records information in compliance with state and federal laws, licensing regulations, and Joint Commission standards. The role involves developing and implementing strategies to coordinate HIM and coding services across the multi-facility healthcare system, supporting corporate HIM initiatives, and providing coverage at the facility level for various department operations. The successful candidate will supervise HIM personnel, oversee the coding process, work with coding staff to ensure accuracy for reimbursement and clinical care, and collaborate with physicians to improve documentation quality.Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in health information management, business, or a related field, with a preference for candidates holding RHIA or RHIT certification. A minimum of three years of management or supervisory experience in Health Information Management within a hospital or healthcare system is required. The role demands exceptional time management, the ability to handle multiple priorities, and excellent problem-solving skills at both strategic and functional levels. The VP will also be expected to stay current with industry regulations and lead initiatives to deploy and support company technology, training, and technical support processes to enhance productivity and reduce expenses. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this leadership position.
