About the Role

The Company is seeking a Model Risk Officer to establish and implement a model risk governance function. This key role involves acting as a liaison between various business partners and ensuring that the company's model risk function complies with regulatory guidelines. The successful candidate will work closely with the Front Office to identify and understand different models and tools, advocate for the company in interactions with risk management, and assist with model documentation and monitoring. Additionally, the role offers an opportunity to develop and apply technical skills in model development and implementation.Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in finance, risk management, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years' of experience in risk management or model governance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supporting internal business clients in matters related to models and risk management, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and a high level of organizational awareness. Technical skills in data management, model development, and quantitative analysis are essential. The Model Risk Officer will be responsible for training staff on the model risk management framework, maintaining the model and tool inventory, and ensuring that all models adhere to development, documentation, and implementation requirements. The role also involves interaction with regulators and participation in regulatory examinations.
