**Overview:**

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team 28-40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with animals and providing exceptional care in a veterinary setting.

**Responsibilities:**

- Assist veterinarians during surgery using sterile technique

- Handle and restrain animals during treatment

- Provide compassionate care to animals in distress

- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary clinic

- Monitor and record vital signs of animals

**Skills:**

- Experience in dog handling and animal restraint

- Knowledge of veterinary terminology

- Ability to work as part of a team with a pleasant attitude

- Strong communication skills when answering phones, working with clients and interacting with team members

- Minimum one year experience working as a veterinary assistant or equivalant education
