Join our dynamic Co-Teaching program as an elementary classroom teacher! All teachers have a full-time co-teaching partner in their classroom, in addition to their grade-level partners. Two heads are better than one, and we have found that our teachers enjoy the friendship and partnership that naturally comes from this model. Co-Teaching Partners enjoy collaboration and a team driven environment. We are currently seeking 2 positions for upper elementary 4th and 5th grade teachers who want to co-teach in reading, writing, math, social studies and science. This is a wonderful opportunity for people who enjoy sharing ideas and playing off of a talented partner.

Responsibilities/Opportunities include:

• Collaborate with other grade level teachers
• Use Common Core and Maimonides standards to create rigorous, objective-driven, and multimodal lessons
• Encourage critical thinking
• Differentiate for individual students based on their unique learning needs
• Incorporate appropriate technology
• Create a classroom environment of respect that encourages students to take risks and strive to reach goals
• Communicate and enforce high expectations and standards for behavior and academic performance
• Initiate and maintain timely communication with all parents

Our leading independent day school is servicing over 600 children in preschool through grade 8. The campus is conveniently located on the border of West Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Academic excellence and the development of children with strong character are cornerstone aspects our school.

Typical classes are between 18 -24 students. Teachers are responsible for instruction in language arts, math, history, and science. Students attend PE with the PE teachers daily. Students also attend music, art, library, and the innovation lab weekly. These classes are instructed by the specialist teachers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
