About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President, Controller to join their mission-driven fintech platform, which focuses on providing credit access and promoting financial health for underserved consumers. The role involves leading the Accounting function to ensure robust internal financial controls and accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP and public company standards. The successful candidate will manage a team, drive automation and efficiency in key processes, take on strategic projects, establish internal control systems, and lead the financial closing and reporting processes. They will also be responsible for creating and enforcing departmental standard operating procedures and policies, serving as the point person for the annual external audit, and managing the production of public company financial statements.Candidates for this position should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, 15 years of related accounting experience, and a CPA with strong technical accounting knowledge. Experience managing a team, working with US GAAP accounting, public company reporting, and ERP and reporting systems is required. The role demands a strong communicator with advanced Microsoft Excel skills, attention to detail, and a background in public accounting is preferred. The SVP, Controller will be expected to bring a strategic mindset to the role, continuously improving processes, and ensuring the integrity of financial information.
