We are seeking an unarmed security officer for one of our major sites in Wentzville. We are looking for an respectful and dependable security officer that would like an opportunity for advancement within the company as we expand.
The positions open are stationary security positions and mobile security positions.
Shifts: 1st and 2nd shifts.
Pay: $16.00 to $17.00 per hour based on experience.
Job Purpose:
Maintains safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
Duties:
* Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry.
* Obtains help by coordinating with other security officers on a shift. You work as a team.
* Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
* Controls traffic by directing drivers.
* Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
* Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Conduct security checks and inspections of designated areas
- Respond to alarms and incidents promptly, taking appropriate action as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns
- Enforce access control procedures to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency services when necessary
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities

- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
