Job Scope:
To support the execution of the company business plan by leading quality related activities, driving corrective action and continuous improvement. Lead the company in integrating and interpreting ISO and Safety processes into business process. Be a conduit between company, its suppliers and customers. To communicate and resolve product approvals (thru PPAP) and non- conformances by implementing robust corrective actions and continuous improvement projects.
I. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS, AND BASIC SKILL LEVELS:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering and five years technical experience
• Background in principles of the ISO Quality Management Systems and leading ISO audits
• Experience in manufacturing operations preferably in the stamping or fabrication industries
• Experience in quality system audits
• Thorough understanding of GD&T
• Experience and knowledge in PC DMIS preferred
• Understands the care and use of a variety of variable and attribute gages
• Working knowledge of Problem Solving Tools, such as: Design of Experiments, Fish Bone
diagrams and statistical analysis tools
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and costs
• Strong attention to detail with proven ability to problem solve and employ root cause analysis
process
II. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop & lead plant wide effort to reduce internal and external PPM’s, scrap dollars, and increase First Time Thru per established plant goals
• Lead plant-wide effort to resolve Supplier/Internal/Customer corrective action requests
• Responsible for overseeing gauge calibration, compliance, and process management
• PPAP documentation review and submissions
• Maintain & improve customer scorecard
• Lead & develop layered audit process and six sigma projects as assigned
• Internal Audits including but not limited to QMS audits, dock audits, process & product audits
• Plan, direct, coordinate and continuously improve the ISO quality management system of the
organization
• Direct, coordinate and supervise quality department operations, personnel, and workload
• Remain current with, maintain, and apply knowledge of current ISO Standards
