Confidential is Hiring a Quality Control Inspector Near Northridge, CA

Position Summary:

Perform inspections of material based off of blueprints to determine acceptance/rejection of material. This position uses standard tools and equipment and reports in ERP/quality software.

Essential Functions:

· Inspect parts, make sure parts are to blueprints.

· Read blueprints and specifications.

· Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced.

· Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.

· Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products.

Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise:

· Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively; listens and gets clarification; Responds to questions; participates in meetings.

· Good working knowledge, familiarity and ability to use standard industry measuring tools including but not limited to: Calipers, micrometers, height gauge, depth gauge, hardness tester, pin gauges, thread gauges, surface plate rules, and DMM, etc.

· Written Communication - able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

· Teamwork - balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit; puts success of team above own interests; able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; supports everyone's efforts to succeed.

· Demonstrates ability to maintain proper attendance and punctuality standards.

Language/Communication Skills:

· Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.

Education and/or Experience:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Six or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Environmental Conditions:

· Workers are in heavy-manufacturing plant and may be exposed to the noise and grime of machinery.

· Inspectors work in clean, air-conditioned environment suitable for testing products.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job. Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and occasionally 75 lbs. or with other means for movement of boxes or pans. May also include frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers can also be expected.

The performance of this position normally requires exposure to typical manufacturing areas were under certain conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment such as Safety Glasses with Side Shields and mandatory hearing protection. Primary environment: Temperature of work area may be affected by outside temperatures and machining. Industrial lighting provided.
