JOB OVERVIEW

The Security Ops Manager is responsible for creating, establishing, and verifying compliance with security procedures and regulatory standards at the airport security design processes and policies, and utilizing threat analysis to assess risk management. The Security Shift Manager will serve as a liaison between the customer requirements and operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:

• Supervise security level 1 process and ensure all agents are instructed on proper assignments
• Ensure that all agents comply with the search method and procedures established the client and airport authorities
• Periodically during their shift conduct randomly audits of the aircraft security searches
• Ensure all agents are on time and aircraft searches are completed
• Maintain communication with all leads and supervisors to ensure the success of the operation
• Report any incident, accident, and/or discrepancies to management to follow protocol
• Ensure all positions are covered for a 24/7 operation
• Ensure that all paperwork is filled, accurate, and turned in a fashion manner
• Ensure your operation complies with all safety regulations
• Deliver operational reports daily and maintain email communication in a timely manner
• Ensure all aircraft security services are been given in the most efficient way to all flights
• Any other function as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, LICENSE, and/or CERTIFICATION

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must have a valid Security D License
• Must have a valid Driver’s License

EXPERIENCE and/or KNOWLEDGE

• Minimum 3 years of security ground operation experience with proven ability to lead
• Well-versed in all aspects of airport security and best practices

SKILL and/or ABILITIES

• Fluency in Spanish and English
• Confident and effective written and verbal communication
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to rapidly shift tasks
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand the documented processes and financial budgets
• Ability to plan, organize and implement in a dynamic environment
• Excellent writing and communication skills including interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities
• Strong self-organization and self-management skills, with an emphasis on self-initiation and follow-through
• Requires flexibility to work additional hours beyond the regular shift, on short notice, and as needed during irregular operations.
• Must be able to obtain a SIDA Badge from the airport
• Must be able to pass all company pre-employment requirements
