Confidential is Hiring a Nurse Manager- Outpatient Ambulatory Surgical Center Near Huntington, NY

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Manager to join their team. MUST HAVE AMBULATORY SURGICAL EXPERIENCE. The Nurse Manager is responsible over the coordination and direction of the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and PACU, Pre-Admission Testing in the delivery of nursing care services related to the perioperative adult and older adult patients. Reporting to the Administrator, collaborative responsibilities include building and maintaining safe policies and patient protocol to ensure efficient operations. The Nurse Manager will coordinate and direct patient care according to accepted accreditation standards, center policy and procedures, will oversee QA/QI/Risk Management and Infection Control Programs. The Nurse manager will work with eh medical staff to coordinate functions of patient care. This position directly supervises nursing and allied positions reporting to the Administrator. Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, financial, materials management, budgeting, scheduling, Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Graduate of accredited Nursing school BSN.
  • Master's Degree preferred but not required.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years nursing experience with Evidence of leadership mastery at the Assistant Manager level or equivalent such as charge RN, team lead, council chair, project manager, or above.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to establish goals, set priorities, oversee the day-to-day activities, prepare and deliver performance reviews, operate in a project manager role as needed, coach others, ensure quality of results and output.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Ability to be decisive based on prior experience, precedent or interpretation of regulations/policy.
  • Critical thinking, math, and computer skills; Works as a team player
  • Monitors and facilitates the meeting of requirements of AAAHC, NYSDOH, and other regulators
  • Knowledge of quality improvement philosophy models, processes and tools and their use in health care integrated settings. Maintains currency with state of the art and regulatory trends
  • Knowledge of methods for CQI, and Root Cause Analysis
  • Demonstrates respect and professionalism in all interactions
  • Demonstrates competence in leadership, budgetary and administrative skills
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuing professional growth and development
  • Excellent oral and communication skills
  • Experience and demonstrated competency in applicable clinical specialty
  • Decision making and problem solving
  • Able to read, write, see and hear English
  • Ability to fully utilize BHMC's electronic record systems, equipment and other healthcare and billing systems relevant to this position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
