NETWORK TECHNICIAN / WINDOWS SERVER
Windows Networking Technician with Server and/or VM Experience

As an established MSP and Network Systems Integrator, we are looking for experienced Network Technicians in Microsoft's Server products and related business Network hardware. Do you enjoy working with different people and assignments from day-to-day? If so, we have a need for a Network Technician for the remote and on-site ongoing support and installation of Windows Server-based network systems for our varied client base in the Greater Hartford area.

For the Network Technician Position, you will need current hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Microsoft - All versions of Microsoft Windows Server Products, MS Small Business Server, MS Exchange, MS SQL, IIS, Terminal Services, and HyperV or VMWare Virtualization. Additional Router Configuration, SAN, VPN, and/or WAN skills are helpful, as is experience with other managed services products such as Office365 (MS365), Duo MFA, Passportal, Datto, etc. You should be able to set up, configure, deploy and install a current Windows Server O/S and hardware from the ground up on your own without assistance. And, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues on existing servers and perform basic server maintenance and upgrades.

In addition, you should also have some experience and current skills with one or more of the following: VPN / WAN / Router Configuration and/or VM. You will need to be able to set up, configure, administer, and troubleshoot various brands of routers such as Cisco, Sonicwall, etc. in a variety of VPN and WAN configurations either onsite or remotely and/or have the ability to install, configure and support the one or more Virtual Server technologies (MS HyperV, VMWare, etc.). You should have one or more of these skills to apply to the Network Technician position. Compensation is based upon your experience and skills.

Experience with the Connectwise suite of products is a definite plus as we are using Automate, Manage, and Sell to provide a seamless service experience to our customers.

Sample assignments include setting up new network systems (physical and virtual servers, workstations, other net devices) for clients, upgrading or expanding existing network systems, and general client network and workstation support. Much of our work can be done using our remote access tools to connect to client systems. On-site visits to clients' sites may be necessary from time-to-time for physical server deployments or hardware troubleshooting.

You will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of networking products and technologies while advancing your career with additional vendor-provided training and on-the-job experience. Experience required in server hardware, software, and maintenance on PCs, laptops, laser printers, and peripherals is a plus.
