Job Expectations:
Check-in: complete check in tasks including ID, insurance cards, payment cards, consents for treatment,
Check-out: Schedule follow up visits in the right schedule with the right doctor, for the right duration of visit, and collect any pending payments.
Create and maintain patient records with accuracy and attention to spelling and ID/birthdate
Managing phone systems and forwarding calls to the right team member
Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA
Requirements
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist
In depth understanding of insurance benefits including copay, deductible, out of pocket max, and coinsurance
Ability to communicate benefits to patients at check in and check out.
