Confidential is Hiring a Medical Front Desk Receptionist Near Glendale, CA

Summary of Position: Responsible for answering telephones, greeting patients, scheduling, providing patient relations and administrative assistance, and carrying out office policies and procedures.

Responsibilities :

  • Verify patient insurance benefits. Collect co-pay/deductible.
  • Assemble patient charts and for pre-operative appointments.
  • Coordinate appropriate paperwork and information for patients to fill out
  • Accomplish assigned projects on time.
  • Answer phones with courtesy and ensure excellent phone communication.
  • Maintain open communication with patients providing up-to-date information via email or phone.
  • Scheduling patients for diagnostic tests i.e. bone scan, MRI, CT, EMG/NCS, ESI
  • Scheduling patient for follow-up appointments.
  • Interact with patients, physicians, and other staff both within the office and at outside facilities providing accurate, timely and responsive information.
  • Follow all policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to be helpful towards all patients and their families.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with good command of English language, both written and verbal.
  • At least 1 year in medical office with experience scheduling, verifying insurances, and knowledge of pricing and coding (CPT/ICD 10).
  • Knowledge of insurance policies (PPO, HMO, MCR, etc.) and payment practices.
  • Ability to work will with physicians, employees, patients and others.
  • Moderate/Advanced computer skills i.e. knowledge of word processing and formatting, excel, EMR systems, etc (Comfortable and experienced using technology to enhance systems and promote efficiency.)
  • Great telephone skills.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality, and good organizational skills with the ability to follow through and complete tasks efficiently, self-starter, follows directions.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.
  • Additional languages a plus, especially Spanish, Armenian, or Russian.
