About the Role

The Managing Director, Program & Experience Design is a key leadership role responsible for designing and stewarding the organization's mentoring program, which supports young people in college and career. The successful candidate will leverage experiential design to continuously improve the hybrid, direct service college access program, providing plug-and-play programming and strategies that can be adapted and localized to meet the needs of various regions. This role involves leading a team focused on tech-enabled program delivery and support at scale, as well as collaborating with the Chief Impact Officer to develop and validate new program elements. The Managing Director will also supervise the Content and Curriculum team to ensure alignment with program design and goals, and serve as a thought leader in designing and executing organization-wide strategies related to the company's program and strategic framework.The ideal candidate for this position will have 5 to 7 years of progressive leadership experience in program design and implementation, with a deep understanding of human-centered experiential and behavior design. Experience in a tech-adjacent role, particularly within an ed tech organization, is highly desirable. The role requires a strategic, analytical, and results-driven leader with strong project management skills and the ability to operationalize strategies for significant and sustained results. The candidate should be entrepreneurial, creative, and ambitious, with a passion for creating new programs and solutions. Excellent communication, relationship development, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The role also demands a comfort with ambiguity, the flexibility to lead in periods of transition, and the ability to adapt to change.
