Join our team as we are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team at our small-animal hospital as Kennel Attendants. This position offers a unique opportunity for those looking to gain valuable experience in a veterinary environment, perfect for Pre-Vet, biology or animal science students.
This position encompasses a range of responsibilities, including physical activities such as walking and lifting dogs weighing over 50lbs. We are looking for detail-oriented candidates with strong memory skills and proficient reading and writing abilities with a dependable work ethic and the ability to work effectively within a team. There are many learning opportunities including all aspects of caring for sick, injured, and post-surgical patients. Alongside pet care, the role includes maintaining a sanitary hospital environment.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate energy, physical capability, adaptability, and resilience, along with advanced communication skills. This entry-level position provides significant learning opportunities, particularly for students seeking hands-on experience in veterinary care.
Daily responsibilities include feeding and walking pets, assisting veterinary technicians with patient care, and ensuring cleanliness in all areas of the hospital.
Candidates should possess their own personal vehicle, with a maximum travel time of 20 minutes. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, and compensation will be commensurate with experience. While previous experience is preferred, it is not a requirement.
Flexible, student-friendly schedule with full time & part time openings, working hours range from 7:00am-8:oopm. Rotating weekend availability is required.
