Confidential is Hiring an IT Director Near Beach, FL

The IT Director will provide strategic technology leadership and guidance to the company aligning IT strategies with business objectives, overseeing technology initiatives, and ensuring that the IT department contributes to the company’s success. The IT Director will manage and direct the company’s information technology (IT) operations, ensuring the department provides an efficient and effective technical support service.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align IT strategies with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Analyze IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
  • Develop and communicate a strategic vision for IT that supports the organization's long-term plans.
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Develop and manage IT budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Allocate resources appropriately to support IT projects and ongoing operations.
  • Create and maintain a technology roadmap that outlines the adoption of new technologies and the retirement of outdated systems.
  • Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for their potential impact on the organization.
  • Oversee relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts, ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met, and assess vendor performance.
  • Identify and assess IT-related risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Develop and maintain a robust cybersecurity strategy to protect the organization's information assets.
  • Provide oversight and direction for major IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Prioritize projects based on business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Develop the skills and capabilities of team members to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Communicate IT strategies and initiatives to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Engage with key business leaders to understand their technology needs and priorities.
  • Continuously evaluate IT processes and practices for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement improvements to enhance the overall performance of the IT function.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information systems, computer science or related field (graduate degree a plus)
  • Minimum eight years’ experience working in IT operations
  • Minimum five years’ experience overseeing IT teams and projects
  • Translate business needs into IT strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide strong leadership with a clear vision for the role of IT in achieving organizational goals.
  • Inspire and motivate the IT team to excel.
  • Be adaptable to changing business environments and emerging technologies.
  • Adjust IT strategies in response to evolving company needs.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration and understanding between IT and other business units.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and find innovative solutions.
  • Approach issues with a proactive and constructive mindset.
  • Collaborate effectively with diverse teams and departments.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $165,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
