An Inventory Control Manager, oversees a company’s needs for inventory and supplies by managing vendor relationships, assessing supply needs and either directly or thought subordinates coordinating material and delivery schedules. Duties include training staff, reviewing orders, and tracking the flow of inventory through the company’s supply chain.

Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

• Directs production and inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage.
• Directs production planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts.
• Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines.
• Maintains and ensures accuracy of the perpetual inventory system.
• Work with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments
• Track, measure and analyze inventory.
• Trains and monitors the accuracy of transaction processing for the plant floor
• Oversee and helps with completion of inventory projects as assigned
• Determine and track KPIs.
• Provide tracking reports for upper management.
• Adhere to laws, rules, and regulations.
• Assign and manage the activities of materials staff
• Works closely with Shipping and Receiving
• Secures and resolves issues with supplier paperwork
• Maintains systems and reports on inventory of suspect or discrepant inventory

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in related field and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
