Hotel Assistant General Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the General Manager in day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to hotel policies and established procedures.
• Provide training to staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Act as the hotel's public relations director, promoting the property within the hotel industry, local community, and trade associations, in collaboration with the Sales Department.
• Monitor guest feedback and promptly respond to reviews, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Handle guest complaints and service recovery processes, striving for swift resolution and exemplary service.
• Participate in the selection of hotel staff and oversee all new hire paperwork.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and manage personnel actions, including disciplinary measures and terminations.
• Adhere to all franchise and company procedures, regulations, and standard operating procedures.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly property inspections to maintain quality standards.
• Serve as the first point of contact for team members and provide support across all departments as needed.
• Conduct audits to ensure adequate stock levels of hotel supplies and uphold property grooming standards.
• Assist in overseeing the maintenance department, ensuring the property is well-maintained and addressing any maintenance issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the housekeeping department to ensure cleanliness standards are met and guest rooms are prepared to the highest standards.

Prerequisites:

• Strong management skills with the ability to delegate effectively and provide guidance and coaching as required.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and nights, as needed to manage operations effectively.

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Experience:

• 1 Year(s) of Hotel Management experience required.
• 4 Year(s) Front Desk Agent experience preferred.

• $42,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year*
• Salaried at 45-50 Hours Per Week
